We all make purchases that we second guess.  The problem arises when you discover a giant heaping pile of accessories in your closet that you rationalize as “closet decorations.”  Still, we secretly hope that these items will come back into style someday.  But designs and trends are not constantly restricted to the existing fashions we see on Tv or what we study in the latest style magazines.  Often your own person style can come out when you lastly get the courage to reach into that giant heaping pile in your closet and test an item out.  Now I'm not telling you to go ahead and wear these MC Hammer style parachute pants that you've had since the 80's but I am telling you to stop limiting oneself to latest trends and use a small of your very own creativity. Who knows, it may just function.

Passionate about setting trends, I am in continual search of new style ideas. As a fearless pioneer seeking for a chance to experiment,  I continually stroll along Newbury street in Boston and cease in every single and each tiny boutique.   Late final summer season I could not assist but cease in all the boutiques featuring a range of merchandise commencing from Christmas décor (yes, this was in August), and “magic” ceramic frogs that are suppose to bring great luck in the New Year.  There are also a variety of boutiques on Newburry Sreet that function outdated but when chic inventory. Stopping in at a single of these shops,  I looking by way of the piles of silk and cashmere and ultimately stumbled upon a fur piece which wasn’t even remotely associated to  20th century fashion. My newly discovered treasure was a bulky, brown-red colored neck warmer. I wasn’t positive what I would wear it with, but I believed the concept of introducing one thing new into my wardrobe, even so unconventional, was going to be entertaining! I brought it house and, naturally, forgot about it for year or so.

Final weekend, whilst packing my summer season apparel (with tears in my eyes) , I  pulled out my winter clothes and found the warmer. This time it did not search so odd. Somehow I knew exactly how I would put on it. The possibilities had been limitless. I began by wearing it more than the luxurious cashmere wool winter coat, adding a exclusive accent to a gorgeous but somewhat ordinary piece. I then wore it above a white tank best combining it with a pair of grey wool striped wide-leg pants. The mixture looked wonderful- funky and attractive at the exact same time, I loved it! Not only was my search updated, but I was featuring a trend that was unique to me at the second and wasn't being forced upon me by the designer planet.

Even even though I see people wear warmers, I feel achieved (nevertheless yet again) as a individual stylist due to the fact the most rewarding perk is seeing men and women put on a piece that you found prior to it became a trend.  I encourage all of you to consider outside the box, reach into the masses in your closets and find your inner stylist. Or if you need to have a little support checkout the neck warmers that I really like on the Chic Giraffe accessories
