Have it drycleaned, it is the only way to ensure it will get cleaned without ruining it or shrinking.

You get a special shampoo that you hand wash cashmere with.
If you cant find a cashmere shampoo, don’t use any washing liquids, no matter how gentle they claim to be, rather get baby shampoo and gently wash out your cashmere with it in lukewarm water.
Dry cleaner are usually well trained and if you take it to be dry cleaned they’ll know what to do with it.
I wash my casmere sweaters in the washing machine on the gentlest cycle with cold water and I use Woolite and then I lay them flat to dry. However, if the sweater has special details on it or is very precious then send it to the dry cleaners. I prefer to actually wash my sweaters because I feel that they get cleaner that way and they don’t get as much static cling as they do after they’re dry cleaned.
Most importantly for the longevity of your cashmere – store it with some sort of moth repellant as moths really, really love cashmere. Cedar blocks or a cedar chest work well or moth balls (put moth balls in old socks so they don’t come in contact with your clothes). In the spring, take all your wool or cashmere sweaters to the dry cleaners and have them cleaned and put in plastic bags to store until winter.
I would never consider washing cashmere, even with some of the specialized products out there.
I worked for 3 different dry cleaners in my life so I’ve seen quite a few cashmere disasters in my time, when people tried to do it themselves.
Cashmere is expensive. So is the care for it. When you buy cashmere you have to be prepared to get it dry cleaned. Make sure you take it to a reputable cleaners, who use hydrocarbon or some other solvent other than perchloroethylene or “perc”.
