Can you handwash a cashmere sweater with baking soda?
Question by Lucid: Can you handwash a cashmere sweater with baking soda?
I'd like to hand wash a cashmere sweater of mine. Would it be safe to wash it with a bit of baking soda mixed in cold water?
*Well i was thinking of applying the baking soda with cold water running and diluting the baking soda into the water before putting the sweater in. And then just putting the sweater gently in and out of the water a few times and running cold water through it to rinse it off. Would that still be a problem?

No, the baking soda will go lumpy and stick all over the sweater, and you will never get it out. Get some Woolite and follow the instructions.

Use Woolite.
Sure you can. The sweater won’t get clean, but you can do it.
